We Help With:

SUPPORTING YOUTH THROUGH SPORTS

Research underscores the profound significance of sports in nurturing the holistic development of young individuals. It equips them with vital life skills, bolsters academic performance, and lays the foundation for sustainable success in their future pursuits. However, realizing this transformative impact hinges upon ensuring equitable access to dedicated coaches, top-tier equipment, a safe space for youth to gather after-school, and a facility capable of hosting year-round sports activities.

Our organization has dedicated several years to diligently working towards leveling up the playing field by providing such resources. We’ve also actively engaged with city officials in underserved communities across Illinois to discuss the construction of state-of-the-art facilities tailored to both local and traveling athletes. We firmly believe that fostering public-private partnerships is an ‘all hands on deck’ approach that offers a solution capable of changing the trajectory of youth, particularly those deemed at-risk. Through these collaborative efforts, we strive to create a positive and impactful environment where every young athlete has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

Through our affiliation with the Nike RBI Program, we seek to collaborate with local schools and organizations to provide year-round baseball and softball skill development for 5-18-year-olds. Nike RBI will be entering its 35th year of play in 2023. From its inception in 1989 through the 2023 season, Nike RBI has grown from a local program for 180 boys in South Central Los Angeles to an international campaign encompassing more than 200 cities and providing more than 100,000 male and female participants per year the opportunity to be involved in baseball and softball programming. John Young, a former Major League Baseball player, and scout, developed the concept of Nike RBI to provide disadvantaged 13-to-16-year-olds an opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of baseball.
