The Gametime Life Skills Foundation was chosen as one of 80 inaugural grant recipients for the State of Illinois Restore, Reinvest, Renew (R3) Program. Research shows that R3 communities are impacted by high unemployment, poverty, and violent crime. Unfortunately, the reality is many of the youth who reside in these designated underserved areas are not able to participate in sports nor are they prepared to attend college due to academic challenges and or financial hardship.

The R3 grant program service delivery objectives are Youth Development, Economic Development, Civil Legal Aid, and Violence Prevention. Our approach is centered around collaborating with successful mentors, local schools, organizations, and municipalities. We aim to change youth trajectory through sports activities, soft skills, financial empowerment education, entrepreneurship, paid workforce training, anti-bullying workshops, legal aid resources, and wraparound services.
